An individual leasing means that each person is only responsible for their portion of the unit lease or bed space. If your roommate ends up not coming back for the spring semester, you’re not responsible for their payment. You are only responsible for your room.
The Pointe at Central rent includes a list of amenities. Your rent will include: Cable with HBO, high-speed Ethernet and WIFI access, all utilities such as water and electric, fully furnished units, full sized washer and dryer, 24-Hour access to the Fitness Room, and other onsite amenities such as the computer lab, not to mention a wonderful staff that is there to help you 7 days a week/ 24hrs a day! The Pointe at Central provides an on-site courtesy officer 7 days a week/ 24hrs a day. The courtesy officer is here to assist Pointe at Central and its residents. If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact our on-site managers at any time.
Yes! If you do not have anyone in mind, don’t worry! We can match you up either with residents currently living here or new lease holders. Each individual completes a Roommate Matching Profile Sheet that lets us know more about what you seek in a roommate. We will do our best to match you with your ideal roommate!
Rent is due based on your lease agreement. First month’s rent is due August 1st. The twelve rent installments will be due at the beginning of each month until July 1st. There is a three (3) day grace period and late Fees begin on the 4th of each month. On the 4th day that rent is late, a $25 charge is added to your rent. Every day after the initial $25, a $5 charge is added until your rent is received in leasing office.
There are several ways that you can pay your rent. You can:
- Pay with a personal check, money order, or cashier’s check.
- Pay with a credit card online through Rent Payment ($13.95 charge)
- Pay with a check through the online payment portal on our website. No charge.
- Have your rent automatically deducted from your bank account each month.
We do not allow pets unless it is a service animal.
The Pointe at Central’s insurance will not cover your personal belongings. We suggest getting renter’s insurance for this reason. It is generally inexpensive and will cover your personal belongings if something were to happen.
The Pointe at Central’s lease is a binding contract and cannot be broken. If you cannot live at The Pointe at Central after signing your lease, you will need to find someone to take over your lease or re-let your unit. Please call the leasing office for information on re-letting.
If you need maintenance, simply go to our website and fill out a maintenance request. You can also call or stop by the leasing office. If it is an emergency during office hours, please notify the front desk immediately. Otherwise, you may call the after-hours emergency maintenance number.
The Pointe at Central is fully furnished with a full-sized bed, a 4 drawer dresser, and a desk with a desk chair for each resident in their bedroom. The living area may have a sofa and oversized tub chair, coffee table, end table and entertainment stand. Depending on their floor plan, their kitchen may have a table with 3 or 4 chairs.
Your mail will be delivered to your apartment’s mailbox in the mail hut of The Pointe at Central. If you have a package that doesn’t fit in the mailbox, you will get a package slip in your mailbox that your package has arrived and is being held in the mail hut. You will need a photo ID to pick it up.
We are less than a mile from The University of Central Florida, about 5 miles from Valencia Community College campus. We have the UCF shuttle that travels back and forth from the campus from 6am to 10pm ( times vary per semester) every day that school is in session and for the football home games. Orlando’s public transportation system LYNX also has a stop in front of the property with a bus to Valencia’s East campus. We also have bike racks at The Pointe at Central if you choose to bring your bike.
We offer one (1) parking pass per resident at The Pointe at Central for a one time fee of $50. There are more than enough parking spots for our residents, so you won’t have to worry about having to walk far to get to your car. In addition to Resident parking, The Pointe at Central offers specified visitor parking areas as well.
We provide a more detailed list when you are sent your Welcome Packet, but here are just a few items we suggest that you bring:
- Bedding (recommend full sized sheets w/mattress cover).
- Shower Curtain.
- An alarm clock.
- Decorations to make your new room feel like home!
A Resident Assistant (R.A.) is typically a college student that is there to help you! They are listening ears if you are having a hard time transitioning to college life, assist with roommate conflicts, as well as helping to plan resident and community social activities.
We plan monthly resident events that may range from pizza day or ice cream socials to billiards or basketball tournaments. The Pointe at Central knows the importance of making our residents feel at home within our community and kick off the New Year each year with Resident Appreciation Week. During the warmer months residents enjoy our cookouts by the pool with music or sometimes a live DJ.
At The Pointe at Central every unit comes with a full size washer and dryer. You will never have to collect coins again or run out in bad weather to get your laundry done! Residents can do it in the comfort of their own home.
The Pointe at Central has a very diverse and friendly community. Everything is within a close proximity to our community such as banks, grocery shopping, restaurants and more. The public bus stop in front of our property will take you almost anywhere you want to go!
